Poulner Players presents ‘Calamity Jane’

Poulner Players presents its pantomime, ‘Calamity Jane’.

The story follows the adventures of Calamity, a Lancashire lass who has travelled to Silver Creek, Texas to find her long lost brother. Unfortunately he is no more, due to an accident with a brewery wagon, though he didn’t feel a thing!

However, his son, Calamity’s nephew, The Milky Bar Kid and his zany friends make her feel welcome and we follow her story as she is mistakenly kidnapped by some hapless bandits and faces the Indian renegade warrior, Geronimo.

Bring and Share quiz

A Bring and Share quiz  is being held at St John’s Church Hall.

Please bring a main dish or desert and your own drinks. If you cannot prepare anything please do still come along as there is always plenty! Contact office@ringwoodparish.org.uk for further details.

The Confirmation Service for 2012 will be held at the Parish Church with Bishop Jonathan.

The Afternoon Mother’s Union social event will take place in the Parish Rooms at the Parish Church, Ringwood.

Bible Study Group

The Bible Group will be studying ‘Jonah’ at home of Derek and Joyce Wright, 165 Northfield Road.

Watchnight service

Join us to welcome in the New Year in the Parish Church. This service provides the opportunity to review the year that has passed and prepare for the year.

Deadline for tickets: Inauguration of Bishop of Winchester

The inauguration and enthronement of Revd Canon Tim Daikin as Bishop of Winchester will take place at St Paul’s Cathedral on 21 April 2012. Attendance by ticket only.

If you would like to attend, you must book through the Parish Office before Monday 16 January 2012.

Consecration of the Bishop of Winchester

The consecration service for Tim Daikin, the new Bishop of Winchester takes place at St Paul’s Cathedral.

Transport is being arranged for parishioners who would like to attend, at a cost of £10 per person (non-refundable). Coaches are booked to leave Bournemouth (possibly Ringwood).
